How to place an order

Placing an order with Ale on Tap is very straightforward.
If you would like a
gift voucher please see my notes in blue further down this page.

Selecting the product...
Please use the drop-down menus to select the type of beer or cider you would like, for example in bottles or in polypin containers or use the "Beer by %ABV" to  select by strength.
The product page gives notes about the beer, its strength and the price per unit. You can mix any selection of products, except gift vouchers and as you select them they will be placed in your shopping basket.

By the side of the product is a selection panel for draught beer, the beer in bottles if available and quantities you would like us to deliver.
Next for draught beers there's a selection of "with or without sediment". Clicking on the green question mark will tell you more. We deliver "without sediment" normally.

Finally select the quantity of the product you wish and press the "add to basket" button. Also note our delivery restrictions on area and age.
Your shopping basket contents will appear on the page and you can continue adding other items or "Proceed to the Checkout".

To order a gift voucher please make a separate purchase for each gift from our site. This is because we need to contact the recipient, ask for their choice and deliver separately to any beer order you might have made.
Simply select the type of voucher you would like, press the "add to basket" button and proceed to the checkout.

Your Details for Delivery...
You will then be asked if you want to create an account for future use or use the quick checkout. Creating an account allows your address details to be stored for future orders. You are not asked for financial details as our secure payment provider holds these.
The fields with red stars are required. Please note you can order or create an account from anywhere in the world but delivery must be to mainland UK. We do not share your details with anyone other than our payment provider and delivery company.

Having created an account or used the quick checkout you are sent to the order page. Again the fields with red stars are required. If you have created an account some of the fields will be filled for you. For normal deliveries add the delivery day and details. We suggest you do not ask for a Monday delivery for polypins as the beer will be in transit over the weekend.
If the delivery address details are the same tick the box or fill in the required delivery address.

For Gifts fill in the blue sections with gift message and delivery day. We need 6 to 8 days to deliver gifts as we have to arrange the choice and delivery.

You can alter or amend any of the order details by clicking in the field and pressing your keyboard backspace (<-- ) key.

Now press the "Continue" button.

Paying for your Order...
You are then redirected to the Royal Bank of Scotland secure website to pay for your order using your debit, credit or PayPal account. Ale On Tap does not see these details.

When you payment is accepted the order status is changed to paid, emails are sent to you from the payment provider and from Ale On Tap and we are notified to start your delivery and then in a few days you can start enjoying products from some of Britains fine breweries.
