Without Sediment, "Bright", "Re-Racked" beer

This is beer is as it would be served in a pub. It does not require a period of settling when delivered and can be drunk straight away. It should be kept at cellar temperature (8 to 10c or 50F) and should be drunk within 10 days of receipt. This beer is ideal for parties and functions.

We normally sell polypin beer in this condition.

With Sediment beer

This is beer is as it would be delivered to a pub. It contains some of the brewing ingredients including finings. It must set in a cool place (8 to 10c or 50f) tilted slightly forward with the tap at the lowest point. It will require at least 24 hours to settle and must not be moved or nudged until finished or it will cloud up and may not re-settle. It will last rather longer than "bright" beer, about three weeks. This beer is most suited to be drunk at home and preferably handled by one person.

Bottled Beers

Some Brewers bottle condition beers with sediment allowing the beer to be in tip-top condition to the glass. These therefore need decanting before drinking.
